What Saylor can do
Say a task and Saylor fills in the details. Here is everything it does on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac.
Speak naturally, get a task
Say what needs doing in your own words, and Saylor picks out the title, notes, date, category and priority.
- Record for up to 60 seconds. One recording can create several tasks.
- Dates like “tomorrow”, “Friday” or “next Monday” become due dates, with or without a time.
- Words like “urgent” or “maybe” set the priority.
- Each task gets a category: Work, Personal, Health, Shopping, Other or one you create with its own icon.
- Edit by voice: say what to change, Saylor shows the changes in your language, and you apply them.
- You can always type a task by hand, without AI.
A to-do list on your wrist
Tap record and say the task, and it shows up on your iPhone, iPad and Mac too.
- Recording works offline. Saylor processes it once you’re connected.
- Browse Today, Later, No date and Done today.
- Complete or delete tasks, with undo if you change your mind. Double Tap stops a recording.
- Complications show your task count or the next task, or start a quick recording.
- On watchOS 26, add a record control to Control Center, the Smart Stack or the Action Button on Apple Watch Ultra.

Your full list on iPhone
Plan your day and week on iPhone, and start a recording from the Home Screen, Lock Screen or Control Center.
- Today shows what’s due and what’s overdue, with ongoing tasks in their own section.
- Plan ahead in a week or month calendar.
- Widgets for quick recording and your task count, on the Home Screen and Lock Screen.
- A record button in Control Center on iOS 18 or later.
- A Live Activity shows a running timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with pause and resume.
- Siri and Shortcuts: say “Record a task in Saylor”.

More room to plan on Mac
Saylor on Mac is a full window app with room for your week, your lists and your statistics.
- A sidebar with To-do, Calendar, Shared lists, Stats and Settings.
- Record or type a task right in the window.
- Desktop widgets show your task count and next tasks, or start a quick recording.
- Changes sync with your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch in real time.

Know how long tasks take
Start a timer on any open task and see how much time it took.
- Run several timers at once.
- Every 30 minutes, a “Still working?” notification lets you continue, stop or complete the task.
- If you leave three check-ins unanswered, Saylor stops asking.
- On iPhone, a Live Activity shows the timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with pause and resume.
- Tracked time syncs across your devices. Each task shows the total and over how many days you worked on it.
- Edit or reset the total whenever you need to.
Long-term tasks that never go overdue
Mark a task as ongoing, and it moves to its own section in Today, with no due date to miss.
- Add an optional “Finish by” date to see a countdown, like “5 days left” or “last day”.
- On the finish-by day, you get one reminder that morning.
- Choose a “Start on” date to hide the task until then, or pause it until a later day.
- Tap “Enough for today” to hide it until tomorrow.
- When you finish, Saylor shows the total time and the days you worked, compared with the deadline.
- Say it the way you think it, like “keep working on this until the end of November”, and Saylor sets it up as ongoing.
